WHEN: Wednesday April 29th at 6pm

WHERE: on site in Watson Park; if the weather does not cooperate we will relocate to Farm and Fable on Shawmut

WHO: All are welcome to join; representatives from the Mayor’s Office, the BRA, Parks Dept and others will be there to discuss the current status of the parcels

Did you know that we are mandated by the City of

Boston to renovate our park with deeper drainage?

The stone surface and substrate levels need to be

replaced to meet City guidelines at a cost of $50,000

EVENT: “Boston Shines”

WHEN:  MAY 2, 2014  FROM 8AM TO 5PM

WHERE:  PETERS PARK

GOAL: WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP CLEAN UP OUR BELOVED PARK

HOW MUCH TIME?  30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours or whatever works for you is appreciated by the Friends of Peters Park.

EVENT DETAILS

For the past eleven years, volunteers have come together in the spring to participate in a citywide clean up event.   Join us again in Peters Park on May  2nd and plant flowers, sweep, rake and pick up trash to make Peters Park more beautiful.

The City of Boston will supply us with basic gardening tools  for this event, you need  only to bring yourselves in comfortable relaxed clothing that can get a bit dirty! 

See you on the 2nd of May!
