For anyone who enjoys gardening and wishes to contribute to the ongoing Peters Park beautification, please become part of the Peters Park Gardening group. We will be meeting on several days over the course of the summer to clear, prune, mulch, plant and otherwise maintain the various gardening beds that have been restored over the past several years through the volunteer efforts of neighborhood groups and Friends of Peters Park.
Mark your calendars for the next major meeting of the gardening group which will be during Boston Shines on April 28th. At that time using mulch from the Parks department we will mulch all of the beds and plant new shrubs and annuals donated by the City. This will begin at 9am and we will meet at the same place.
There will also be other days scheduled about once a month but we are interested in getting together a core group that will know the landscape and able to assist with ongoing maintenance. Please join in and hone your gardening skills to continue the beautification of this unique and special park.”
